Do you offer consultations?

Yes, when I’m booking I offer the option for a virtual consultation if your idea is accepted to be booked!

When are your books open?

Recently I’ve been opening my books twice a year — in July and December. When my books are open I will have an appointment form listed in my IG bio and it will be emailed out to those signed up for my newsletter.

Do you send out designs before my appointment?

No, I do not not typically send out designs beforehand for a number of reasons. I really like being able to walk my clients through the design to explain why I chose to do certain things, explain the shading, check sizing and placement, etc. which is all much easier to do in person. That allows me to see if I need to adjust the design and if small changes are needed we can collaborate on it together.

Am I able to make changes to my design before its tattooed?

Absolutely. Thats why I like to go over the design in person to make sure you love it and we are on the same page. I reserve 30 minutes in each appointment for potential changes at the clients request. Usually I don’t have to make changes or they are minimal, I work really hard during booking to make sure I have a clear understanding of your wants.

Worse case scenario, if we had a miscommunication and you are completely unsatisfied with your design and the changes would surpass the 30 minutes we will reschedule you for another day and use the 30 minutes for an in person consult on your design and I’ll take those notes back to the drawing board to rework your design.

Can I being someone with me to my appointment?

Yes! There is space for one guest to be in the tattoo room for you and a waiting area up front for any other additional guests. It is a private shared space though so its preferred that the guest count is kept at 1-3 (except for matching tattoo parties that may exceed that amount).

Can I use numbing cream, if so do you recommend certain brands?

Numbing cream is not my favorite but I understand that some spots are really painful and everyone experiences pain differently. If you choose to use numbing cream you must do a patch test on the area of skin it will be used at least 48 hours prior to your tattoo appointment to make sure you don’t have an allergic reaction. If you show up the day of with an allergic reaction I can’t tattoo you or if it negatively reacts after the tattoo process you risk your tattoo not healing properly and having a higher risk of infection.

When applying the numbing cream make sure to apply it LIBERALLY then cover with saran wrap. Let it sit like that for at least 45 min - 1 hourish. Typically the longer the better. Most clients will apply it before they leave for their tattoo appointment. When you get to the studio I will remove the saran wrap for you and clean the area for the stencil.

The only brands I personally have experience with are “Zensa” and “Numb520” which can both be found on Amazon. Make sure that whatever brand you choose that its a reputable brand.

Is there anything I should do to prepare for my appointment?

Yes! In the weeks leading up to your appointment daily moisturizing your skin and keeping up with your water in take will help your skin soften and will take ink easier. This means that it will be easier for the ink to saturate your skin and faster/smoother tattooing process.

Exfoliate your skin 1-2 days before your appointment with a gentle scrub and don’t worry about shaving. Its much better for your artist to shave you right before the stenciling process to avoid any razor irritation.
